Frequently Asked Questions- Hog Hunting

  • Am I required to have a Texas hunting License for helicopter hog hunting?
  • Yes, you will need to have your hunting license on hand during your hunt. If you are an out of state hunter you can pick up a 5 day license from any Wal-mart.
  • Can we bring our own guns?
  • Yes, we also provide firearms and ammunition for your hunt. Ammunition is unlimited so don't be afraid to send rounds down range.
  • Do you use rifles or shotguns?
  • We use both! A custom AR-15 or a magazine fed 12 gauge shotgun.
  • Is there an age limit to go on a helicopter hog hunting?
  • Gunners must be at least 16 years of age on the day of their hunt. Gunners that are under 18 must fly with a member of our staff for safety reasons.
  • Is there a weight limit?
  • Yes, for each individual seat the limit is 300lb. Additionally, combined gunner weight must not exceed 475lb for the safety of the flight. This is your weight PLUS your gear and will be verified before the hunt begins.
  • Can we hunt our own land?
  • Yes! We offer a discount to landowners who wish to fly as gunners on their own property. Give us a call and we will work with you to get it set up!
  • Do you only hunt in one area?
  • No, we will hunt anywhere in Texas. However, the more land you have the better your results will be. So tell your neighbors, we would love to help remove some of these invasive pests off their land too!
  • How many can you accommodate for a helicopter hog hunt?
  • Groups of up to 6 in one day and we can handle larger groups over multiple days.
  • What happens if there is bad weather or other adverse event?
  • Generally only dangerous weather or high winds keep us from flying. But in the event we need to reschedule we try to make that decision as soon as possible. If we can't get you rescheduled, we will refund your deposit.
